ABNA24 - A solidarity gathering in support of the Islamic Republic of Iran was held in Pakistan's Punjab province, bringing together scholars from various Islamic schools of thought. The participants strongly condemned the crimes committed by the United States and the Zionist regime against Iran, declaring the support and solidarity of Pakistani scholars and the nation with the Islamic Republic.

During the event, scholars emphasized that the Islamic Republic of Iran is a free and independent nation and a source of pride for the Muslim world. They stated that the people of Pakistan stand firmly with Iran, expressing regret that international institutions, instead of condemning Israeli crimes, have been issuing resolutions against Iran's right to self-defense.

Ayatollah Khamenei Was Not Just the Leader of a Single Country or Nation

Prominent Sunni scholar Maulana Tahir Mehmood Ashrafi stated in his address that the entire Islamic Ummah now stands with Iran, adding that this solidarity is the result of efforts by the National Unity Council of the Ummah.

He further noted that the Leader of the Muslims, Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei, was not merely the leader of one country or nation but was a beloved figure for the entire Islamic world. He stressed that confronting the enemies necessitates unity and solidarity within the Islamic Ummah.

Maulana Ashrafi also commented on the situation at the Al-Aqsa Mosque, expressing regret that its doors have been closed to Muslims. He stated that the victory against the US and Israel would not belong to Iran alone but would ultimately lead to the liberation of the Al-Aqsa Mosque and Palestine.

Support for Iran is an Obligation on Pakistan

Addressing the gathering, Qasim Ali Qasimi, coordinator of the Council of Shia Scholars in Pakistan, stated that the United States, having endured defeats, now finds itself in a position of pleading and desperation. He noted that the brave Iranian nation has demonstrated unwavering ideological and faith-based steadfastness, adding that Iran's defensive capabilities have reached a level where it appears invincible. He also highlighted Iran's significant advancements in technology.

He warned that Takfiri groups in Pakistan are once again attempting to fuel sectarian discord between Shia and Sunni Muslims to create division and called on the country's security institutions to pay serious attention to the matter.

Emphasis on Supporting Iran

Qasimi further stated that the war imposed on Iran stems from the country's support for the people of Palestine and Gaza. He drew a parallel between Iran's resilience and the spirit of resistance seen in the historical event of Karbala.

He stressed that supporting Iran is an obligation for Pakistan, adding that Pakistan's positive role in recent developments has been such that even the United States, embroiled in its own war crises, has accepted Pakistan as a mediator.

Iran's Decisive Response is a Source of Pride for the Ummah

Other speakers at the gathering praised Iran's military strategies in the conflict, describing Iran's decisive response as a source of pride for the Islamic Ummah. They extended condolences for the martyrdom of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Grand Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei, Ali Larijani, other state officials, and a number of citizens, expressing sympathy with the brave and honorable people of Iran.

The participants affirmed that the Islamic Ummah stands with Iran, stating that even if some rulers of Islamic countries are unable to openly show support for various reasons, the populations of the 56 Islamic nations remain supportive of Iran.

The gathering also strongly condemned the shooting of Pakistani protesters by US military forces in front of the American consulate, with participants calling for an investigation into the incident. Concern was also expressed over the failure of some Islamic governments to declare clear support for Iran.
